Welcome to South Africa
Explore the country that hosted the 2010 World Cup and inspired the recent blockbuster film Invictus by participating in UW-Green Bay’s three-week Travel Course to South Africa. This fascinating and diverse country will be your classroom and Professor Illene Noppe leads examination of history, race relations, the AIDS epidemic. Research Shows Outcomes of Study Abroad
The University System of Georgia recently published research findings on the academic outcomes of study abroad. The research has interesting data on graduation rates, GPA, intercultural understanding, and disciplinary understanding. Green Bay will host WAIE Conference
UW-Green Bay will host the Wisconsin Association of International Educators (WAIE) conference on April 4 & 5. This is a great opportunity to highlight UWGB, develop a network of associates, and learn about the exciting field of international education. A Look at Japan
A group of UW-Green Bay students and their faculty and staff guides returned in June from a three-week study tour of Japan. The summer course Arts and Culture in Japan was led by theatre Prof. Kaoime Malloy of the Arts and Visual Design faculty with the assistance of Kristy Aoki of the Office of International Education. From exploring ancient temples, mist-shrouded mountains, and pristine coastline or catching a ride on the world’s fastest train into a modern metropolis, students found a range of cultural experiences. Senior Art Major, Tyler Gajewski, recently participated in UW-Green Bay’s Travel Course to Florence, Italy with Professor Christine Style. The course focused on the cities of Florence, Venice, and Rome. Students captured their surroundings through drawing, photography, and printmaking.
