Craig A. Mueller Scholarship recipients recognized

Recipients of the Craig A. Mueller scholarships gathered for a recognition event Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, in the University Union 1965 Room.

Craig A. Mueller ’71 (Humanism in Cultural Change) passed away in 2006, leaving more than $1 million to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay providing need-based aid through the Craig A. Mueller Phuture Phoenix Scholarship and support for students majoring in art, music, theater, communications and other areas within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Craig A. Mueller Arts and VD&C Scholarship.

This year, his generous gift is supporting 39 students with scholarships.

Craig Mueller graduated from UW-Green Bay in 1971. Through a bequest after his passing in 2006, he created the Craig A. Mueller Scholarship Fund to benefit students at UW-Green Bay.

Scholarships have been awarded from Mueller’s bequest nearly 450 times for a total of more than $500,000 in aid to UW-Green Bay students.

Craig’s sister, Marcia Mueller, from Washington, and cousin Ruth Erdmann, from Minnesota, attended to help celebrate Craig’s lasting legacy and impact.
