Gratitude. It is such a simple thing, to exude gratitude on a daily basis. However, our daily lives may become so busy and caught up with the big things that we may overlook what really matters in our lives.

The fact that we are alive, this very second, is a miracle. The breath from our lungs may be taken at a moment’s notice, so we must appreciate it while we can.

Breathe in. The cold that we feel on our faces and breath into our lungs as we step into the harsh Wisconsin breeze swiftly reminds us of our mortality.

Step forward. Each step we take we take on the grass outside reminds us how lucky we are to stand on a living, breathing Earth.

Look up. Noticing each individual snowflake as it gently falls to the ground is a reminder of how small yet unique each one of us is in this vast universe.

Be silent. The connection that you feel with your surroundings becomes exponentially greater once you acknowledge that you aren’t the entire puzzle, but rather a piece of a masterpiece.

Realizing that an infinitesimally small compilation of tiny moments throughout our day is truly what makes us grateful to be ourselves.

I would also be grateful for an A grade on this presentation.  : )
