David Lutze ’09 Elementary Education major with a minor in English. Owner/Captain of Playin’ Hooky Sportfishing Charters. “I have worked in the charter fishing industry for the past 14 years and I finally decided to go into business for myself. I am still employed as a third-grade teacher in the Denmark School District.”

Brittany Forseth ’14 Human Biology major with a minor in French and Francophone Studies. Brittany is currently working for Walgreens as a Market Pharmacist and is part of the vaccine team helping with clinics in long-term care facilities providing COVID-19 vaccines.

1970s

Frederick Heide ’74 Humanistic Studies major. Artistic Advisor/Co-Founder of Northern Sky Theater. After 37 years on the core faculty of the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) in San Francisco, Fred retired last spring from his position as full professor of clinical psychology and moved back to Door County, WI. He continues to serve as an adjunct professor at CSPP while writing shows and performing at Northern Sky Theater in Door County, which he co-founded in 1990.

1980s

Thomas Valley ’81 Human Adaptability major. Thomas received his PA assistant Master’s degree at The University of Nebraska in 1990. From there, he received his Ph.D. at The University of Dorchester in 1996. Thomas is now retired from the Air Force (1990) and Mayo Clinic (2016).

Eric Ryer ’04 double major in Environmental Policy & Planning and Public Administration with a double minor in Environmental Science and Geography. Eric returned to UW-Green Bay for his Masters in Science & Policy, graduating in 2006. City Administrator for the town of Cedarburg.

Kyle Pingel ’12 Theatre major with a minor in Communication & the Arts.  Costume Productions Coordinator at Illinois Wesleyan University. During the summers, Kyle is the Costume Shop Manager at Peninsula Players Theatre, in Door County, WI since 2013. Since Graduating, he’s also worked with costumes and wigs in Chicago at the following theaters: Goodman, Steppenwolf, Paramount (Aurora), and Marriott Theatre (Lincolnshire). Currently, Kyle is designing wigs and makeup for select shows for Royal Caribbean Cruises. He also styles and sells wigs for drag performers around the country.

James Stockman ’96 Human Biology major. After nearly 30 years of service, Fred retired from the U.S. Navy in April. He now works as the Senior Naval Science Instructor at Benjamin Russell High School.

Melissa Palfery ’98 Public Administration major with a minor in Spanish & Latin American Studies. Registered Nurse at Piedmont Healthcare. In 2020, she won The DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurse.

Dana DeCair ’05 Communication Processes and Political Science major. Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Illinois. She was recently awarded the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Medallion for her work in supporting students throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
