March 9 & 10 – Inclusivity Health Fair
The Inclusivity Health Fair organized by the UW-Green Bay LGBTQ Resource Center will focus on leadership, social justice, education and health in the realm of inclusivity and healthy and safe choices.
This year’s Inclusivity Health Fair will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 and Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in UW-Green Bay’s University Union. The particular focus of Friday is for students, faculty and staff to have a greater understanding of the options available at UWGB. Saturday focuses on the connection UWGB has with the community.
The fun begins Friday at 10 a.m. with a one-mile walk and scavenger hunt. There will also be interactive tables sponsored by vendors, university classes and student groups, and games and prizes, and more. Friday evening, there will be a silent auction taking place. In addition, a fundraiser dinner buffet benefiting the LGBTQ Resource Center will be served with a vegetarian option, at 6:00 p.m. Mike Fitzpatrick, “GBLT in Wisconsin” will be the keynote speaker at that time. Tickets for the dinner events are $30 and available for purchase at the LGBTQ Resource Center in the University Union.
On Saturday, the focus will be on vendors from Wisconsin and will be open to students and the public. Activities for Saturday include main stage speakers, interactive vendors and workshops. Both days will offer information and interaction on many topics including personal defense and safety, drug and alcohol assessments, personal leadership skills, and much more.
If you would like to be a vendor/volunteer or need more information, please contact the LGBTQ Resource Center at 920-465-2167.
