Join us as we celebrate the end of the summer with a trip to Bay Beach Amusement Park. Fun for all ages, this is a chance to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones while enjoying one of Green Bay’s timeless treasures.
Come enjoy food, fun, and a beautiful summer night as UW-Green Bay takes over Fridays on the Fox on the City Deck. The band Big Mouth, which boasts UWGB faculty members, will be preforming.
Help us congratulate and welcome our newest graduates to the UW-Green Bay Alumni Association by volunteering for the Commencement receiving line. It is easy and fun! All you have to do is arrive at the Weidner Center by 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 and stand in line with fellow alums to cheer on UWGB’s Spring 2015 graduating class. We want 50 volunteers. Feel free to bring family members along as children really enjoy participating. Contact Kari Moody at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer.
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Spring/Summer Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Kress Events Center (click here for directions and locate building #17). The Commencement ceremony is approximately 2 1/2 hours in length.
Tickets are required for all guests, regardless of age or size. This is to comply with a safety requirement to assure an accurate building occupancy count in case of an emergency. Based on seating capacity at The Kress Events Center, each graduate can request up to four complimentary admission tickets when registering to participate in the ceremony. Because seating is limited, please order only the number of tickets you need. Tickets become available starting April 1. All tickets requested MUST be picked up in Cofrin Library Room 835 no later than noon on Friday, May 8. Unclaimed tickets will be distributed to other students requesting them the week of extra ticket distribution. After the signup deadline, one additional complimentary ticket per day can be picked up in person from the Office of the Provost, CL835, starting Monday, May 11, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis until the remaining tickets are gone. Student ID is required to pick up tickets. Please call 465-2082 or email email@example.com if you have questions or concerns.
On Tuesday, April 17, the Green Bay Athletics Department and the Green Bay Packers will again team up to hold the 12th annual Phoenix-Packers Steak Fry at the Lambeau Field Atrium.
This is a joint venture between Green Bay’s most legendary teams, the Green Bay Phoenix and the Green Bay Packers, with all proceeds benefiting Green Bay student-athlete scholarship fund. Over the past 11 years, the proceeds from this event have yielded nearly $600,000 in support of student-athlete scholarships.
Individual tickets are $100/person and must be purchased in advance. Doors open at 5 p.m. and there will be a social hour and open bar followed by an all-you-can-eat steak dinner at 6 p.m. The evening will conclude with a program at 6:45 p.m. and a live auction that begins at 7 p.m.
The live auction will feature a number of trips and packages, highlighted by getaway trips to the men’s basketball team’s games at Virginia and Wisconsin, a Green Bay Packers gameday package and an exclusive dinner for a guest and friends at head men’s basketball coach Brian Wardle’s house.
The silent auction items include: Green Bay Packers’ memorabilia and autographed items, Green Bay basketball gameday packages and state-of-the-art electronics, tailgate items and more.
