Did you forget Valentine’s Day and need that last minute gift? Saturday night’s (Feb. 14) Green Bay Symphony Orchestra – All You Need is Love performance could be the ticket to your sweet’s heart. Visit the Weidner Center for all upcoming Weidner events.
Help us congratulate and welcome our newest graduates to the UW-Green Bay Alumni Association by volunteering for the Commencement receiving line. It is easy and fun! All you have to do is arrive at the Weidner Center by 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, claim your FREE Phoenix PRIDE Shirt and stand in line with fellow alums to cheer on UWGB’s Fall 2014 graduating class. We want 50 volunteers and have about 30. Feel free to bring family members along as children really enjoy participating. Contact Kari Moody at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer.
Oooh…this is gonna be fun! UWGB alumni are invited to the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells to compete against other UW schools in various competitions including basketball, slide rides, a scavenger hunt and more. Join us on Friday, Jan. 9 through Sunday, Jan. 11 for the first-ever All UW Alumni Weekend at the Kalahari.
Friday night will include an all UW pizza party. Be sure to wear your UWGB gear and show your pride for UWGB. Prizes will be given to those who show the most school spirit.
Saturday, we will compete in tournament challenges, swim the day away in the water park or just have good ole fun at the amusement park! There will also be a viewing party on Saturday night at 8 p.m. when the Green Bay Men’s Basketball team takes on Milwaukee.

We hope you can join us for this fantastic weekend of fun!
UW-Green Bay’s float entry in this year’s holiday parade was fantastic for many reasons. First, the design was impressive with three life-sized Jack-in-the-Boxes. But more importantly, to represent this year’s Green Bay Holiday Parade theme, “Toyland Christmas,” the UWGB parade committee collected toys for children in need as part of the U.S. Marine Corps’ local Toys for Tots campaign. The float was filled with toys that will be donated and the community was able to see just how supportive UW-Green Bay is of our community. Even the parade judges agreed as they awarded UW-Green Bay with the Jean Nicolet Award for the float with the best parade theme portrayal! It was a great day of collaboration between students and employees and a great day for UW-Green Bay!
You…UW-Green Bay Alumni, are critical players on our admissions team. Who better to tell prospective students about the amazing people and opportunities at UW-Green Bay? It is our hope that you are bold about sharing the features of our wonderful campus to all the people searching for higher education opportunities.
The enrollment team is looking to increase the number of students who choose UWGB and we are formalizing the process for following up on your initial engagement. We call it, “Refer-a-Phoenix.” It would simply require you to take a minute to fill out a form at www.uwgb.edu/refer. Someone from the enrollment team will follow up with your potential student, answer any questions they might have about their college search and encourage a visit. (We have great success enrolling students who make a campus visit!).
In the meantime, if you have questions about applying to UWGB, or if you have suggestions for the admissions team, please contact Jen Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In September, the UW-Green Bay alumni website received a complete overhaul and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Visit the website often for information on alumni events and opportunities. This website is just for you so check it out!
Mark your calendar for the 35th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing on Friday, June 12, 2015. The Golf Outing planning committee will begin meeting in February and Committee Chair Steve Dill is looking for additional committee members. If interested in serving on the Golf Outing planning committee, please contact Director of Alumni Relations Kari Moody at 920-465-2226 or email@example.com.
