Construction Updates & Information

The new Cofrin Technology & Education Center is UW-Green Bay’s newest building planned to be constructed on the Green Bay campus. It is a state-of-the-art facility that will replace the existing Cofrin Library. A 2020 Cofrin Library Renovation and Use study recommended we replace—rather than renovate—the library building. The study found that a replacement building will be more cost effective and better able to meet the community’s current and future needs. Construction is planned to begin Spring 2025 and end Fall 2027.

This blog will be used to house updates and information about closures, construction, demolition and more as the project timeline progresses.

New CTEC Site Launched

New informational pages have launched for the Cofrin Technology and Education Center building project on the UW-Green Bay website.  The pages include information about the construction timeline, the construction site in various phases of the project, goals of the building design and UW-Green Bay Library history.
