Spring Commencement Ceremony

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Spring/Summer Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Kress Events Center (click here for directions and locate building #17). The Commencement ceremony is approximately 2 1/2 hours in length.
Tickets are required for all guests, regardless of age or size. This is to comply with a safety requirement to assure an accurate building occupancy count in case of an emergency. Based on seating capacity at The Kress Events Center, each graduate can request up to four complimentary admission tickets when registering to participate in the ceremony. Because seating is limited, please order only the number of tickets you need. Tickets become available starting April 1. All tickets requested MUST be picked up in Cofrin Library Room 835 no later than noon on Friday, May 8. Unclaimed tickets will be distributed to other students requesting them the week of extra ticket distribution. After the signup deadline, one additional complimentary ticket per day can be picked up in person from the Office of the Provost, CL835, starting Monday, May 11, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis until the remaining tickets are gone. Student ID is required to pick up tickets. Please call 465-2082 or email commencement@uwgb.edu if you have questions or concerns.

UW-Green Bay graduate
UW-Green Bay marked its 41st mid-year Commencement Dec. 18 with graduation ceremonies at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. A record 400 students were eligible to graduate. An estimated 300 donned caps and gowns to march in the ceremony. For snapshots from the day’s festivities, click here.

David TrostAmong the graduates were David Trost, who began his quest for a college degree in 1965. He has an associate degree, but wanted to complete one of his life’s goals — a bachelor’s degree. UW-Green Bay’s Adult Degree program helped him achieve his goal, and even a bit earlier than anticipated. Read about him, and find Fox 11 coverage, click here.
