UW Unification

Have you heard the news? The UW System Board of Regents approved the proposal by President Cross to realign the UW Colleges with UW System four-year universities. Under this plan, UW-Marinette, UW-Manitowoc and UW-Sheboygan will join UW-Green Bay effective July 1, 2018. To learn more, check out the initiative’s webpage.

Come experience what Lifelong Learning Institute has to offer

Join us for an overview of Lifelong Learning, sample classes, registration information, and questions and answers!

The Lifelong Learning Institute sponsored by UW-Green Bay, Division on Continuing Learning and Community Engagement is a nonprofit, peer-led volunteer program for adults who are interested in expanding their horizons, and keeping mentally, physically and socially active. It offers a wide variety of course including history, travel, music, painting, computers, science, health, cooking, crafts, current events and more. Courses are held at multiple venues throughout the community. There are no tests, no papers, no credits, just learning, socialization and fun. Click here for more info.

Regional Networking Events

Join Chancellor Gary L. Miller and fellow alumni at a regional networking event! This is a great way to get to know other alumni living in your area. Cost to attend is $10 per person and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres. The first 50 people to register for each event receive a complimentary beverage ticket.

Good Times Programming Presents Comedian Iliza Shlesinger

418x351Good Times Programming will present comedian Iliza Shlesinger at 7:30 p.m. April 2 at the Weidner Center. Iliza is the only female and the youngest contestant to win NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” Her debut one-hour comedy special, War Paint, reach #1 on the iTunes charts and was named one of its Top 10 Albums of 2013. Esquire Magazine named her as one of the top working comedians today! She’s currently on her first national theatre tour with “Iliza: The Confirmed Kills Tour”.

Krash the Kress

Basic RGBKrash the Kress is a super cool event especially for UWGB alumni, students and friends. For the first time ever, a Green Bay men’s conference basketball game will be played on campus on Carol’s Court at the Kress Events Center, so we’ve put together an awesome tailgate party to get everyone ready to cheer on the Phoenix! Krash the Kress registration includes your game ticket, great tailgate food, two beverage tickets good for Bud products or soda, an epically awesome, long sleeve Krash the Kress t-shirt and fun swag to cheer on the team. The UW-Green Bay Pep Band, Green Bay cheerleaders and Phlash will be there too. Finally, there will be lots of drawings for fantastic prizes.

Friday-Sunday, Jan. 5-7: UW-Green Bay Alumni Weekend at the Kalahari

Join UW-Green Bay alumni, along with eight UW System campuses, for fun and relaxation at the Kalahari Resort and Waterpark Friday through Sunday, Jan. 5 through 7. This is a great deal and one event you don’t want to miss.

Friday night will include an all UW pizza party. Be sure to wear your UWGB gear and show your Phoenix pride.

Saturday, swim the day away in the water park or just have good ole fun at the amusement park.
