#1: What is Direct Admit Wisconsin?
Direct Admit Wisconsin is a revolutionary new program that simplifies the college admissions process. it works like this: at participating Wisconsin high schools, rising seniors will receive a letter stating that they’ll be automatically accepted to many of the Universities of Wisconsin schools. You’ll still need to fill out an application form, but the process is much simpler.

#2: How do I accept offers through Direct Admit?
Applying through the Direct Admit program is easy. Students just need to fill out a Direct Admit form via the Universities of Wisconsin Admission Portal. Once you log in, you can see all of the schools that have offered you Direct Admit. To apply (accept the offers), simply fill out the Direct Admit Form. If you haven’t already created an account, you can do so in the UW Admission Portal.

#3: What’s the deadline to apply through Direct Admit for Fall 2025?
The deadline to accept your Direct Admit offer is May 1. Make sure to submit your form by this date to secure your spot!
#4: Are there any additional requirements for certain programs or majors?
Direct Admit means that you are admitted to the university as a whole. However, some programs like Nursing, Education, and Social Work have additional licensing requirements required by the state. If you’re interested in one of these programs, you can quickly chat with an Admissions Counselor to find out if any extra steps are needed!
#5: What’s the difference between “accepted,” “admitted,” and “committed”?
“Accepted” and “admitted” both mean the same thing and are used interchangeably! As for “committed,” this step comes after accepting your Direct Admit offers. Because UWGB doesn’t have an enrollment deposit, “committed” is your way of telling us that you plan to be a student here. This helps us ensure you have all the information you need for a successful start as a Phoenix!
#6: When I submit the Direct Admit form, am I committing to a certain college?
No, submitting the Direct Admit Form does not commit you to a specific college. We encourage you to submit the form for all colleges you are considering. One of the best ways to determine which school is the best fit for you is to register for a campus visit!
#7: Do I need to submit ACT/SAT scores for Direct Admit?
ACT and SAT test scores are not required for Direct Admit. However, you can still submit them for consideration in other items such as scholarships and course placements. This flexibility allows you to showcase your strengths in the way that suits you best.
#8: Do I need to choose my major when I accept a Direct Admit offer?
You can, but you don’t have to. When filling out the Direct Admit form, you’ll be asked to select a major of interest. But, if you’re still unsure or considering multiple areas, you can simply choose “Undecided”.
#9: I applied through Direct Admit. Now what?
After you submit your Direct Admit Form, you should hear from each university on next steps. For example, at UWGB, an Admissions Counselor will reach out to confirm receipt.
