Care to go ‘backstage’ for Cabaret?

Discover Cabaret from page to stage as Director Laura Riddle presents a behind-the-scenes look at the production of this award-winning musical, in the Fort Howard Hall theater at the Weidner Center immediately following the 7:30 p.m. show on Friday, April 20.

‘Cabaret’ on its way to the Weidner

Cabaret, UW-Green BayUW-Green Bay students are taking on Broadway with the spring production of Cabaret. The April 20 and 21 performances mark the first time a student production has performed on the Weidner Center stage in more than a decade. Set in the seedy Kit Kat Klub in 1930 Berlin, Cabaret is a musical that will highlight the best of UW-Green Bay Theater and Music. CabaretTake a Sneak Peak at ‘Cabaret’ – opens April 20
Set in the seedy Kit Kat Klub in 1930 Berlin, Cabaret premiered on Broadway in 1966, sweeping the Tony Awards. Cabaret has become a classic of American Musical Theatre featuring a brilliant and memorable score by Kander and Ebb who later collaborated on the musical Chicago.

Dec. 3 – Concert features Wood Family pipe organ
Join UW-Green Bay’s Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and Chorale with guest Michael Stefanek on the Wood Family pipe organ at 7:30 p.m., December 3 in the Cofrin Family Hall of the Weidner Center.

Jan. 20 – Comedian Frank Caliendo
Frank Caliendo is known for his live stand-up comedy act and countless uncanny voice and physical impersonations.  His most well-known impressions include those of George W. Katie Green (Delie) ’99 continues her dedication to the success and growth of the Weidner Center For the Performing Arts in her new role as director of programming.

Most recently she served as Executive Director and then President of the non-profit organization Weidner Center Presents, Inc.
