Adult Degree convocation, a family welcome

Nearly 800 students are enrolled in UW-Green Bay’s Adult Degree Program and many would never set foot on campus because of online coursework.
Many made it though to the first annual New Student Convocation and Family Welcome event Oct. 1.

She has guided many in their successful attempt to earn a four-year degree through her 27 years with UW-Green Bay. Now the Adult Degree program says farewell to longtime adviser Trudy Jacobson. “I knew that I succeeded if I could help students think about what they wanted out of life, not just out of school. I am going to miss many things about UW-Green Bay, but mainly, I will miss the students,” she says.
About 20 UW-Green Bay graduates of the Adult Degree Program met August 6-7 to identify new ways to serve its alumni base. After a reception Friday evening at Brett Favre’s Steakhouse, the group met Saturday for a brainstorming session.
