Professor Robert Bauer, originally from Mondovi, Wisconsin, started his career as a band director at Lima High School in the 1950′s (outside of Durand, Wisconsin) where he started a band program that was outstanding and the pride of the school and community!!!
Yes , this picture is Prof. Robert Bauer conducting a rehearsal of
the early concert band at the Deckner Center. He arrived on
campus in 1968. The woman flutist will be difficult to identify.
Bob was ad hoc instructor in woodwinds at the Marinette campus
prior to coming here; he was director of band at Marinette
High School. But, for more detailed and accurate info contact
retired professors Jerome Abraham and Lovell Ives.
He was originally at the Marinette campus and then moved to UW-GB.
