Mostly Indian and Other Fables
An exhibition of contemporary Native art, co-curated by Dr. Stephen Perkins and Amii John, will be held in the Lawton Gallery at UW-Green Bay Oct. 7-Nov. 4. This exhibition of works by twenty-four Native artists from across the United States and Canada illustrates the complex nature of the contemporary Native experience. The works celebrate the many ways in which Native artists are working with old and new traditions in order to create works that respond not only to the present but also the past and the future.
