Mark King

TaylorMade-adidas Golf President and CEO Mark King, a 1981 UW-Green Bay graduate, will give the keynote address for Business Week 2012.

His address will cap nearly two weeks of events provided for UW-Green Bay students preparing for post-graduation opportunities. The event is organized by the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business and Career Services.

The Environmental Management and Business Institute (EMBI) is hosting a multi-day symposium April 18-20, 2012.

This year’s theme is “Water — Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” and features a showing of the award-winning documentary, Tapped.

It’s been a sweet season for the Phoenix women’s basketball program. Can the Phoenix keep the momentum rolling and make a return to the Sweet 16? One game at a time, starting with the Horizon League quarterfinal March 7. A win would see the Phoenix hosting the semi-finals and championship Friday, March 9 and Sunday, March 11, respectively.

The annual basketball Alumni Day for men’s and women’s basketball always draws a crowd. Events included a pre- and post-game reception for all Phoenix alumni, throwback jerseys for the youth, and alumni introductions at halftime. The Phoenix beat the Bulldogs 80-68 in front of its largest crowd of the season.

The UW-Green Bay women’s basketball alumni gathered on Saturday, Feb. 11 to celebrate more than 35 years of excellence. Events included an Alumni Game, halftime introductions with the Special Olympians on campus for the day, a post-game reception, and more.

Take a Sneak Peak at ‘Cabaret’ – opens April 20
Set in the seedy Kit Kat Klub in 1930 Berlin, Cabaret premiered on Broadway in 1966, sweeping the Tony Awards. Cabaret has become a classic of American Musical Theatre featuring a brilliant and memorable score by Kander and Ebb who later collaborated on the musical Chicago.

An engaging new season of After Thoughts series of programs for women kicked off Sept. 20 with Prof. Kim Nielsen’s presentation, “Jane Addams and the Challenge of a Living Democracy.”

Legendary UW-Green Bay men’s basketball coach Dick Bennett spent some time at UWGB recently. The Phoenix Hall of Famer and current head coach Brian Wardle discussed a variety of topics, including Bennett’s recent visit with the men’s and women’s basketball staffs, the history of the program and the task of building a program and creating an identity.
