34th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing

GolfCome out for a fun, relaxed day of golf and support students following in your footsteps at UWGB. The outing includes a putting contest, 18 holes of golf with power cart, lunch, raffle, hole events, hors d’oeuvres reception and more. Team play will use a four-person scramble format. Prizes will be awarded to the low gross team and handicap team.

Date: Friday, June 13
Location: Royal Scot Golf Course in New Franken

Schedule of Events
8 a.m.: Registration and Putting Contest
9 a.m.: Shotgun Start (four-person scramble format)
2 p.m.: Hors d’oeuvres Reception/Social
2:30 p.m.: Awards, Raffle and Door Prizes

Awards Night Recognizes 360° of Top Grads

Citing the help of exceptional faculty and staff, five UW-Green Bay alumni humbly accepted honors at the May 1 Alumni Awards Night on campus. Distinguished Alumni honors went to (from left) businessmen Bob Pyle and Craig Dickman and EPA official Constance Downs. Sat. May 17 – Volunteers Needed for the Commencement Receiving Line

DSC_0289Help us congratulate and welcome our newest graduates to the UW-Green Bay Alumni Association by volunteering for the Commencement receiving line. It is easy and fun! All you have to do is arrive at the Kress Events Center by 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, claim your FREE 360ᵒ of Pride t-shirt and stand in line with fellow alums to cheer on UWGB’s Spring 2014 graduating class. Thirteen-year-old Ethan Bortnick, has moved audiences nationally and internationally as a pianist, composer, singer, entertainer, and a driven humanitarian, dedicated to combining his musical pursuits with his charity work. At three years of age, the Hollywood, Florida native begged his parents for piano lessons and discovered an uncanny ability to hear a song once and play it back note-for-note – the musical equivalent of a photographic memory. Ethan brings special guest Damian McGinty of Glee and Celtic Thunder, and also features the Green Bay Southwest High School Trojanaires.

Help Wanted – Alumni Association Board is Seeking Alum Who Graduated in the 1970s

Picture1Your Alumni Association Board is seeking a board member who graduated in the 1970s. This is a great way to reconnect with the University and give back to your alma mater. The board meets bimonthly on the third Tuesday of the month from 6 to 7:30 pm.

The UWGB Alumni Association engages our alumni and friends to build lifelong relationships that advance the continuing success of the University. To forward this mission, the Alumni Association Board strives to be diverse in careers, graduation years and gender.

2014-2015 Phoenix Alumni PRIDE T-shirt Designers Wanted

T-shirtGet in on the creative end of our new tradition — a collectible tee! Each year a limited edition t-shirt that reflects UWGB spirit will be created. Proceeds from each collectible tee go toward student scholarships. The design choice will be a by popular vote via electronic means in September. The shirt will be unveiled at Alumni Reunion Days.

The winning designer receives a $50 gift card from The Phoenix Bookstore and admittance for two at 2014 Alumni Reunion Days! There are very few design restrictions:

- One-color, front- or back-only design (designers recommend the shirt and print color)
- Design should include the reunion year (2014)
- Design needs to include a reference to UWGB or UW-Green Bay
- Design should be relatable to the majority of UWGB alumni
- Artwork should be submitted by Sept. 1 in a pdf file format to alumni@alumni.edu

An official logo is not required in the design, but can be requested by contacting Sue Bodilly, bodillys@uwgb.edu.
