UW-Green Bay offers Arts Enrichment for Adults summer program

Monday, April 30th, 2012

Arts Enrichment for Adults, a noncredit program designed to help adults capture their creative side, will be offered from 6-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 30 – Aug. 2, on campus. Course titles include: Relief Woodcarving: Yes You Can, Acrylic Painting for Everyone, Sew What, Ceramics: Wheel Throwing and Hand-building for Raku Firing, Anyone Can Draw, Book-Making: Uniquely Yours, Watercolor Inspirations, and Beading Workshop. Congratulations Cabaret!

CabaretA collaborative effort of UW-Green Bay Theatre and Music more than a year in the making, Cabaret was Theatre’s first Weidner Center mainstage show in over a decade. More than 100 individuals worked tirelessly to make the production a success, including UW-Green Bay students, faculty, staff and alumni. Nearly 2,000 people attended during the two-night run of UW-Green Bay’s music and theatre’s four-star production of Cabaret. See photos and read more.

Above: Congratulations Dustin James Wagner, grand prize winner of the ‘Celebrate Cabaret Sassy Sweepstakes’! Dustin James, 2011 graduate of the UW-Green Bay Theatre program, was the lucky winner of four tickets to the Saturday, April 21 Cabaret production and a $100 gift certificate for Victoria’s Italian Restaurant.

Ross Christian won our second prize package of two tickets to the Friday, April 20, 2012 Cabaret performance and two passes to the Cabaret Backstage Pass post-show reception. Ross is a senior at UW-Green Bay majoring in Theatre with an expected graduation date of May 2012 and, incidentally, is cast member in the Cabaret show! Ross, you were absolutely terrific as Herr Schultz!

EMBI Symposium honors Harris

The longtime water quality and habitat restoration specialist with the UW Sea Grant Institute on the UW-Green Bay campus has dedicated her life to clean water. Read more…

Wojta will play for Minnesota Lynx

He’s also known as a personable and engaging teacher, challenging students to get past pre-conceived biases with regards to business and resources. Mansky ’77 an elections expert

After graduating from UW-Green Bay with an Environmental Science degree in 1977, Mansky worked as a hydrologist in Omaha, Neb. When his employer later went out of business, and amid an economic recession, Mansky moved to Minnesota figuring he’d have to do something else. Read more…

Glance through the credentials of the annual Golden Apple Award recipients, and there’s a good chance you’ll see UW-Green Bay — again and again. University alumni traditionally have been well represented among those receiving the prestigious teaching accolades, and 2012 was no exception. Of the honorees in seven categories, three have UW-Green Bay ties — either they graduated from the University or came back to boost their already impressive teaching cred with additional certification.
