Here are some observational notes that I took during class:
- “Lets take it up a notch” -the comments made to go into the slide titles, Issue 2, were great!
- I’ve been meaning to comment about the microphone. It’s working much better and seems to make things easier for Dr. Gurung and for the class.
- Cheesy pick-up lines in reference to evolution were ideal for this age group. A lot of students were sick around this time, so humor in class helps us all get through it!
- Group exercises- I think it would be more beneficial to the students if they were given 15-20 mins instead of about 10 mins, especially when using larger groups because it takes a couple of minutes to to get everyone organized and settled in.
- “Chubby Hubby” regarding the penguins was AWESOME! “Lets talk about attraction” slide.
- We can’t judge the “Got Jug” student now that Dr. Gurung made the comment about measuring friends body parts for symmetry….
- The picture of Dr. Gurung’s son making a goofy face was HILARIOUS!
- An example that Dr. Gurung could use for the “But Ideal” slide could be Tyra Banks in reference to high foreheads.
- Today was BEAD DAY! I think the review went well and the TA’s had fun, so that’s always a plus : )
