Phuture Phoenix 5th graders are returning to campus!

The Phuture Phoenix program is thrilled to announce that UWGB will host nearly 1,000 5th grade students from Title I schools across northeast Wisconsin during the fall semester! The mission of the program is to provide an opportunity for students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds to believe post-secondary education is important, attainable and available. Watch for the kids in bright yellow t-shirts on our first visit day, Wednesday, October 16th and again on Friday, November 16th! Please give them a welcoming smile when you see them and let them know you are happy they are here.

College prep starts early, and the Phuture Phoenix campus visit experiences offer students a first-hand look at everything a university education can offer. The 5th graders will visit spaces dedicated to academics, athletics and the arts, providing our visitors a window into what it’s like to go to college and inspiring them to think about their own post-secondary aspirations. Over 100 UWGB student Role Models act as tour guides, answer questions and learn more about the dreams and aspirations of our young visitors. By the time the 5th graders get back on their school buses at the end of the visit, everyone involved is excited for the future and all that it holds!
