Request from a colleague: Share your AI policy

A favor for a colleague: AI & student learning this semester

I’m reaching out as a colleague to ask for your help with a brief survey I’m conducting on AI and teaching at UW–Green Bay. This semester marked a moment where many of us experimented with very different approaches to AI in our courses (from full integration to strict prohibition). At the moment though, we have very little data to understand how these different approaches actually relate to student learning outcomes.

My goal with this project is to capture that variation while it’s still fresh: what policies we used and how those choices relate to learning. I’m especially hoping to hear from instructors across disciplines and appointment types.

If you would be willing to share the AI policies you used this semester, and how you think they impacted student learning, I would be so very grateful. The survey will be open until January 2nd but may be easier to complete when student performance is still fresh in your mind.

Thank you so much for considering this.
