Professor Mohammad Upal Mahfuz made a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers

Electrical Engineering Associate Professor Mohammad Upal Mahfuz has recently been elevated to the rank of Senior Member of IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). IEEE is the world’s largest professional organization with more than 400,000 engineering and technology professionals all over the world. “IEEE Senior Membership is an honor bestowed only to those who have made significant contributions to the profession,” wrote the Chair of the IEEE Admission and Advancement Committee while notifying Prof. Mahfuz of his elevation to Senior Member position. Prof. Mahfuz also serves as the Secretary of the local IEEE Region 4 Section 27 (Northeastern Wisconsin Section) that promotes electrical engineering in this region. Prof. Mahfuz is one of the founding members of the electrical engineering program here at the UW-Green Bay.
