Nursing students “On the Road Again”

Nursing students have been participating in mobile flu vaccine clinics and on this day landed at the Aging and Disability Resource Center in downtown Green Bay. In collaboration with nursing staff from the NEW Community Clinic, students administered flu vaccines in the new mobile clinic as part of their NURS 440 Population /Community Health Nursing Practicum course. The photo shows Nursing Professor Christine Vandenhouten and senior nursing students, Kendra Moe and Emily DeForge near the mobile flu clinic vehicle. Vaccinations are an important public health strategy to reduce the community spread of influenza. Per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it is recommended that individuals receive an annual flu vaccine.
