UWGB/GBAPS Partnership is Addressing the Teacher Shortage

UW-Green Bay in partnership with the Green Bay Area Public Schools (GBAPS) started a cohort of 15 GBAPS employees in the Master of Science Applied Leadership in Teaching & Learning (MSALTL) Program in January 2024. These students will obtain their master’s degree and eligibility for a teaching license when the program is completed in December 2024. Several of the students are already teaching in the classroom, including Dale Russell at Franklin Middle School (speaks in the below video). The program for each student (including tuition and books) is funded through a Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development grant.
