The paper, “A Computational Tool for On-Site Customization of Space Robotic Manipulators through Dynamic Analysis,” authored by Dr. Md Rasedul Islam, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and his student researcher Ethan White (ME ’25), was recognized with the Undergraduate Best Poster Award at the 35th Wisconsin Annual Space Conference (2025).
This work was supported by Dr. Islam’s NASA–WSGC Early-Stage Investigator (ESI) grant. In recognition of this achievement, Ethan White received a $1,000 prize, underscoring the strength of student–faculty collaboration at UW-Green Bay.
The project advances robotic technologies for space missions, focusing on adaptability and efficiency in dynamic environments. The award selection process is highly competitive, drawing applicants from across the state. Winning in this setting is a significant accomplishment that highlights the innovation emerging from UW-Green Bay and the important role undergraduate students play in advancing robotics research.
