Ask Me Anything series in the Multicultural Resource Center!

Over the last few semesters, the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) has invited campus partners to visit our space and connect with students to share about the many resources available on campus. We’ve recently rebranded these visits as Ask Me Anything: (Your Department Name Here) — a casual, engaging way for students to learn more about your office and services.

The MRC invites someone from your department to spend time in the MRC with our students. To schedule your visit, please email mrc@uwgb.edu with a few preferred dates and times. Our busiest hours tend to be Tuesdays through Thursdays, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The MRC will take care of creating a flyer to promote your visit. All we ask is that you provide:

  • A photo of yourself (or the person who will be visiting)
  • A few bullet points about what students can “ask you anything” about — this can include topics related to your office/services, and feel free to add something fun too!

Once your visit is confirmed, here are a few tips to help make it a great experience:

  • Be engaging and approachable
  • Introduce yourself and share your role and department
  • MRC staff may not always be available to assist with student engagement
  • Move around the space — avoid staying in one spot or hiding behind your computer
  • Consider bringing activities, snacks, or giveaway items to spark interaction
  • Most importantly, have fun! 😊
