American International Czech & Slovak Voice Competition
The American International Czech and Slovak Voice Competition is a renowned bi-annual event that draws talented singers from across the globe to celebrate the rich musical heritage of Czech and Slovak repertoire. This competition provides an invaluable platform for young vocalists to showcase their abilities in both operatic and classical music, highlighting works from influential composers such as Antonín Dvořák, Vítěslava Kaprálová, Bedřich Smetana, and Leoš Janáček, among others. These composers are celebrated for their profound contributions to classical music, particularly for their works’ emotional depth and technical intricacy.
Hosted by the Shannon Resch Institute of Music, the event fosters an appreciation for Czech and Slovak cultural artistry, offering three rounds of competition with finalists receiving cash prizes. Attendees can experience exceptional performances, with a rich array of timeless compositions brought to life through vocal artistry.
