Women’s Basketball Places Sixth on WBCA Honor Roll

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced yesterday that the Green Bay women’s basketball program made the Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. This is the 29th season in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

The WBCA recognizes women’s basketball teams from the Division I, II, III, and NAIA levels across the nation that boast the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their roster for the duration of the season. Green Bay finished in a tie for sixth with Northern Iowa in the Division I category with a 3.780 GPA. Horizon League foe Youngstown State was first overall with a 3.868.

“The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women’s basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom,” said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. “The 112 teams we honor this year strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!”.
