Dear Faculty and Staff:

We have exciting news to announce from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Foundation.

The Foundation furthers the mission of UW-Green Bay engaging in philanthropy to solicit gifts and bequests and to administer, use, or distribute these gifts for the benefit of UW-Green Bay.

The UWGB Foundation – Fund for Excellence (managed by the Foundation) exists to support unrestricted charitable giving. When we speak with donors, they often state they want to give to where “it is most needed.” Given the nature of higher education, this is a moving target. The Fund for Excellence provides the Foundation staff and board of directors flexibility to support current campus needs.

At the Foundation, we understand that innovative and transformative project ideas arise that support our university strategic priorities (Student Success, Inclusivity, Digital Transformation, Community Connections, Sustainability and Environmental Work, Athletics and Weidner) but are unable to be funded through the regular/normal gifting options. These small but impactful projects are important. The Fund for Excellence was created to address that challenge, and to promote transparency and provide equitable opportunities for small projects originating from across the University community.

For the academic year 2024-2025, the UWGB Foundation and Fund for Excellence has $100,000 available to award. The maximum award is $25,000. More detailed information and instructions on how to apply can be found at Fundraising Resources – Foundation – UW-Green Bay (uwgb.edu)

We encourage faculty and staff from across the campus community to apply for these funds. Together we rise!

Sincerely,

Dr. Dawn B. Crim

President of the Foundation
