Doctoral Students from Thailand Study at UWGB

Eight students from Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand arrived in mid-March to study at UWGB for two months. Each student is working on their dissertation in educational technology and is enrolled in a seminar taught by Dr. Andria Moon, associate professor in the Professional Program in Education. Scott Ashmann, associate dean of the College of Health, Education and Social Welfare, is assisting with the coordination of the visit.

In addition to completing the seminar, the students are:

  • working with Cofrin Library staff to progress with their dissertation work,
  • receiving English tutoring,
  • completing the LITE 101 certificate through the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL),
  • completing Kognito training through the Wellness Center,
  • visiting relevant UWGB classes, and
  • visiting NWTC, Bay Port High School, Forest Glen Elementary School, and the UWGB STEM Center.

They have also participated in many student events sponsored by the UWGB Student Engagement Center and recently spent a day in Door County (see photo).

Kasetsart University is a public research university in Bangkok. It is the largest and third oldest university in Thailand. It enrolls over 85,000 students.
