Pianos Migration
You have to see it to believe it!
Next week, you will notice the annual “migration of the pianos” as these noble instruments sweep majestically through our hallways on their way to their traditional performance grounds. You and your colleagues are invited to participate in this beautiful spring ritual, and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating all that UWGB has to offer during this special time.
On Saturday, May 4, approximately 3,000 potential UWGB students and 200 school music teachers, with family and friends, will be on campus for the WSMA State Solo and Ensemble Festival hosted by UWGB Music. It is always the busiest day on campus of the year.
The Music Program happily invites all UWGB Departments, Student Organizations, and Programs the opportunity to set up displays, video screens, and information tables to attract these talented students to your UWGB habitat.
The Music Program annually provides over 50 student volunteers and all of our faculty plan to participate. Additional volunteers are always welcome, and please feel free to wear UWGB clothing that “represents” your Department/Organization, etc.
Buildings used on Saturday (8 a.m.-4 pm) will include:
Environmental Science
Mary Ann Cofrin Hall
Rose Hall
Student Services
Studio Arts
Theatre Hall
University Union
Wood Hall
Come and witness firsthand the glitter, the pageantry, the capes, and the TUBAS.
