Wear Denim on April 24th for Sexual Assault Awareness

Wednesday, April 24 is Denim Day. Since 1999, the organization Peace Over Violence has run its Denim Day campaign on a Wednesday in April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The campaign began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court where a rape conviction was overturned because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who raped her remove her jeans, thereby implying consent.

Healthy Choices Task Force and the Student Engagement Center invite you to join in community on April 24th at 4pm in the Cloud Lounge (University Union, at top of stairs) for a group photo and to show support.
