Theresa Okokon, a UWGB alum, has a new memoir published by Simon & Schuster, Who I Always Was, and she’s coming to campus!
AUTHOR READING & DISCUSSION: A reading & discussion with the author will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2pm, in the University Union’s 1965 Room. (There is also a Zoom option: https://wisconsin-edu.zoom.us/j/92327640236). Professor Tara DaPra will host the reading along with a Q&A. The reading will also feature student Kephren Pritchett.
“DIVERSE READS” BOOK GROUP: Second, there will be a “Diverse Reads” discussion on Who I Always Was, sponsored by the Dean of Students office, on Thursday, May 1, 4:30-6pm, also in the 1965 room. There are 15 free copies of the book for the first people who register! Theresa won’t be at this event, but Professor Tara DaPra again host.
