We’re excited to announce a fun and engaging multi-department scavenger hunt that will take place across campus from April 8-10! This event is designed to get everyone out and exploring different areas of the campus, while having a bit of fun along the way.
Here’s how it works:
The Hunt:
Scavenger hunt coordinators will be hiding a special Phoenix (approximately 5 inches in size, see picture below) in various public indoor locations across campus. The Phoenix won’t be hidden near a participating departments office—for example, the Admissions Phoenix will not be near the Admissions office but the Athletics or Pride Center Phoenix could be found there.
How to Participate:
-
Starting April 8, campus members are encouraged to start the hunt. When someone finds a Phoenix, they can return it to the department listed on the attached tag.
-
Each Phoenix has a tag that says: “Please return to ___ for a reward.” Once returned, the finder will receive a special swag bag as a prize!
-
Please note: To ensure everyone has a chance to participate, we ask that you only find and return one Phoenix during the event.
In case some Phoenix are left undiscovered:
If any Phoenix remains hidden by April 10, we’ll provide hints to help guide campus members to their locations, ensuring everyone gets a chance to join the fun!
Participating departments include: Admissions, College of Science, Engineering and Technology, Cofrin School of Business, College of Health, Education and Social Work, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Athletics, Weidner Center, Student Engagement, Alumni, Budget and Finance, Residence Life, Pride Center, Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, and Multicultural Resource Center.
This scavenger hunt is all about fun, connection, and encouraging everyone to explore our beautiful campus while engaging with different departments. So, get ready to start searching, and who knows—you might just find a Phoenix!
