Society for Information Systems and Business Analytics (SISBA) -Cofrin School of Business

The Society for Information Systems and Business Analytics (SISBA) at the Cofrin School of Business (CSB), UW-Green Bay, hosted a presentation on “What is Business Analytics?” on March 11, 2025. Led by Erin Olson (SISBA President) and Calvin Berndt (SISBA Vice-President), the session explored the fundamentals of business analytics, including key concepts, relevant coursework, and career opportunities. Attendees also learned about national salary trends for graduates specializing in business analytics. The event provided students with an opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of why business analytics is crucial in today’s competitive business landscape, and how the students would benefit from studying Business Analytics.

Earlier this year, SISBA took part in the OrgSmorg event hosted by CSB, where student leaders connected with UWGB/CSB students and shared valuable insights into the fields of business analytics and information systems. Associate Dean of CSB Dr. Rasoul Rezvanian and CSB faculty member Dr. Ray Parth visited the SISBA table at OrgSmorg as well, and engaged with the students.

SISBA is an officially recognized student organization at UW-Green Bay. The current leadership team is composed of President Erin Olson and Vice President Calvin Berndt. The student organization is advised by Dr. Ray Parth, who specializes in the domains of business analytics, decision sciences, and information systems.
