Volunteers needed for Brown County Pals Program
The Pals Program is a mentoring program of Brown County Health and Human Services that serves children ages 3 through 17 years old who are referred by Child Protection Services. Volunteers are matched with child based on compatibility. It’s a great opportunity for faculty, staff and students to get involved with the community. Volunteers can spend time in a recreational or learning activity with their Pal and mentors help the child adjust to the separation or loss of a parent, enhance self-esteem and confidence and learn new skills. Pals leaders also organize monthly activities that are free to the volunteer and the child, ranging from Christmas parties to events with the Green Bay Packers players. There are currently more than 30 children on the waiting list.
Make a positive impact on the life of a child through this fulfilling opportunity, working with the area’s most vulnerable youth.
