Want to share news in the Log? Here’s how.

The Log is UW-Green Bay’s source for internal communication by the faculty and staff, for the faculty and staff—your go-to place for announcements, events, and updates. With a new semester on the horizon, here’s a quick guide to contributing:

1. Check Blog Access  

This step is only required for new blog users. Sign in following the link: blog.uwgb.edu/wp-admin. If you are not a blog user, email webdev@uwgb.edu to request access.  

2. Log in to the Log Dashboard 

Go to https://blog.uwgb.edu/log/wp-admin/. Click “Use My School ID” and sign in with your UW-Green Bay SSO credentials.   

3. Create Your Post 

Click “Add post” under the Posts menu. Follow Log Posting guidelines while drafting your post and be sure to use the block editor. Need help? Check out resources at Blogs at UW-Green Bay webpage. 

4. Choose a Category 

Select on category:

  • Announcements – program updates, invitations, important reminders 
  • Events – workshops, extracurricular events, lectures 
  • Faculty/Staff – promotions, publications, awards, professional development 

5. Add Tags 

Include relevant tags (e.g., program area, college, or interest area).   

6. Check Accessibility 

Use the accessible content plugin to identify and fix accessibility issues. 

Deadline Information

Submit by Monday at 4 p.m. for inclusion in the next Log e-news. Later submissions will appear the following week. Each week the Log e-news is sent out featuring post from the blog from that designated week.
