Instructors Invited to Participate in January 2025 Training Course on PlayPosit

The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) will be running a 2025 J-Term section of one of their self-paced training courses, “LITE 115: Enhancing Course Videos with PlayPosit.” PlayPosit is a tool available to all UWGB faculty and staff that allows users to turn YouTube or Kaltura videos into interactive PlayPosit “bulbs.” Instructors looking for a way to increase student engagement with their course videos are encouraged to register.

LITE 115 is a self-paced training course in Canvas. Three modules cover: the basics of the learner experience in PlayPosit; building your first bulb (interactive video); and implementing a bulb in a course and using the monitor page and analytics features. Participants are not obligated to complete all three modules and may participate at whichever level fits their interest and capacity but will receive a digital badge for each module they complete.

The course includes a few virtual check-in meetings, but attendance is optional. The kickoff session for the 2025 J-Term section will be 9:30 – 10 a.m. via Zoom on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The kickoff session will also be recorded and uploaded to the LITE 115 Canvas course, so instructors are still welcome to register for the course even if they can’t attend the kickoff.
