Program Improvements

We have a monthly LLI Board Meeting. Any LLI member can attend these meetings. The Board is focused on how to improve LLI operations to better serve our members. In order to complete the member communication loop, we want to summarize recent improvements.

Didn’t get the classes you wanted?

  1. Please report this to the LLI Office.
  2. Heidi and the entire office staff will work to assist you.
  3. Please realize that cooking, art classes, etc. have a very limited number of in-person participants. Currently, there is no way to change this. Venues for these types of classes are limited in size.
  4. We suggest you consider volunteering to be a Coordinator/Moderator. These are assigned before registration, so you are assured of being in the class. Pati Wiegand does a great job of treating this group of volunteers very well.
  5. We are in the process of developing Zoom and streaming options. We recognize this is not the same as in-person attendance but does make the class available on a timely basis.
  6. Please review the article provided by Gary Hanna explaining the LLI Zoom and live-streaming programs (link). We ask members to work together to improve this option.

Expansion of LLI Information Events

In order to improve the LLI membership base, we are epanding the number of events at which we provide LLI membership information to prospective new members.

  1. The P&P Comittee will be responsible for managing these events.
  2. In addition to our traditional information sessions, we are adding events in coordination with the Green Bay Packers, UW-Green Bay and the Rennes Group.
  3. We are pleased to announce our expansion with The Weidner. We feel that our members and The Weidner event attendees share common interests.
  4. The Weidner has offered us a booth in the lobby. Also, they have offered free seats for all booth volunteers.
  5. As a way to increase interest, we will have a free LLI membership drawing for attendees who sign up for LLI member information.
  6. We are now recruiting volunteers for the following December performances:
    • Matt Wilson, December 16, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. performances
    • Holiday Pops, December 20, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. perormances
  7. We encourage members to volunteer by using our online volunteer survey.

New LLI Trifold Brochure

Bob Srenaski and Lynn Gerlach have teamed up to provide LLI with new and improved trifold brochure content. MUC has completed production of the trifold, which will be used at all future LLI Events.

LLI Needs More Member Volunteers in All Areas

The LLI Program would not exist if we did not have member volunteers. Please consider helping us. We have developed an easy-to-use online volunteer survey that explains what each volunteer position involves. This will assist us in matching you with an opportunity based on your time and talent interests.
