Newsletter Structure Changes

The LLI Newsletter has been produced mainly by the Marketing and University Communication (MUC) team with limited production involvement of LLI membership. The LLI Board of Directors has discussed with UW-Green Bay’s Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Training (CEWT) how to improve the LLI Newsletter.

We have agreed that the LLI members should take the lead role in newsletter content development. CEWT and MUC will be responsible for reviewing the content for compliance with university policies, procedure, and branding of the newsletter to LLI membership.

This change will allow LLI to provide information to all members regarding LLI program improvements and interesting information from classes, events and other useful information from fellow LLI members.

The Publicity and Promotion (P&P) Committee will be responsible for the LLI newsletter. Initially, the changes may include:

  1. A recurring article that will focus on improvements being made to the LLI program. This content will come mainly from the LLI Board of Directors, LLI Committees, LLI Office and from CEWT.
  2. Helpful tips from our members, such as Internet safety tips, technology changes, learning how to participate in streamed or Zoom classes, etc.
  3. Editorial assistance to allow members to propose content with help from an LLI volunteer who can aid in their development.

We encourage members with potential article content and/or editorial skills to sign up as a volunteer.
