Meet Your Board of Directors

Have you ever wondered who to thank for the great classes and programs you enjoy as a member of LLI? Well, you could begin with the members of the LLI Board of Directors. These tireless volunteers meet monthly at 8 a.m. on the fourth Monday of every month to make the decisions that keep LLI running smoothly and efficiently. They monitor the finances, classes and promotional materials vital to this member-directed, peer-led organization which was founded over 34 years ago.

The Board of Directors is made up of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, three members-at-large and the chairs of the four standing committees – social, curriculum, publicity and promotions, and technology. Elections for members other than committee chairs are held each April, and newly elected members take office at the July meeting. Committee chairs are chosen by their respective committee members and change at various times.
