Engage in Thoughtful Discussions

Continuing Issues

Continuing Issues offers a unique platform to delve into myriad international, national, state and local issues. It’s a haven for diverse opinions, where every voice is valued and welcomed. Respect for everyone’s opinion and their right to be heard stand at the cornerstone of our sessions.

We meet eight times each semester, on alternate Tuesdays, allowing for a regular yet manageable commitment, keeping participants engaged but not overwhelmed. Our dynamic discussions of ever-evolving topics draw many LLI members back, semester after semester.

Steve Jensen has been the long-time moderator of this class. He has a knack for facilitating discussions and encouraging participation. Mike DeGrand is our coordinator and is in charge of the microphone! No mic—no talking. We make sure everyone can hear what is being said, and everyone waits their turn.

Steve suggests topics for discussion, but class members are encouraged to add their own ideas. We rarely get through all the topics suggested, and we never run out of things to talk about.

Whether you choose to actively contribute your thoughts or just listen and absorb the insights shared by others, your presence is cherished. Join us to explore an array of perspectives, challenge your viewpoints and enjoy enriching conversations.
