We’d like to reassure you that all the library’s systems have been checked for vulnerabilities to the “heartbleed” bug by our campus IT security officer, the network guys in the UW System, and our vendors. Our systems are just fine. You may want to check with other sites you log into to see if they have had issues or been updated, and you may want to change some of your passwords if the sites have been updated to plug the security hole. If they have not been updated yet, it’s best to wait until they are. (Otherwise your new password will just leak out anyway.)
