Dr. Ryan Martin is looking for three interns for the Spring 2020 Semester: Content Specialist/Social Media Specialist, Event Coordinator/Social Media Specialist, and Phoenix Studios Intern. 

Content Specialist/Social Media Specialist:

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • developing and maintaining a comprehensive schedule of content for the CAHSS and Effect website (https://cahsseffect.org/),
  • creating and editing content for the CAHSS and Effect website,
  • coordinating with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to establish delivery dates for website content,
  • and promoting content via social media and other relevant avenues.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • attending and documenting events via photography and videography,
  • staffing events as needed (mostly on campus),
  • managing social media platforms (facebook, twitter, instagram) and running social media campaigns,
  • and other related work.

Priority will go to students who are strong academically, organized, personable, creative, and have strong writing, photography, and videography skills.

This is a for-credit internship.  Applicants must major in an academic program within the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at UW-Green Bay and have a faculty sponsor in their major.

Event Coordinator/Social Media Specialist:

  • assisting in the development of college-wide event programming (open houses, live podcasts, conferences, etc.),
  • coordinating with academic programs and other campus-groups to assist in event creation and management,
  • managing a complicated event calendar,
  • and promoting events via social media and other relevant avenues.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • staffing events as needed (mostly on campus),
  • managing social media platforms (facebook, twitter, instagram) and running social media campaigns,
  • and other related work.

Phoenix Studios Intern: Social Media Specialist

Phoenix Studios is the podcast network for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (www.uwgb.edu/podcasts) and is looking for a social media specialist.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • assisting and managing multiple social media platforms (facebook, twitter, instagram) for a number of podcasts,
  • creating multimedia content such as: blogs and “listicles”, photos, graphics, videos, Snapchat and Instagram stories, etc.,
  • planning and posting social media campaigns/posts,
  • participating in brainstorming sessions,
  • analyzing social media data for potential improvements,
  • promotion of podcasts via other relevant avenues (e.g., email campaigns, fliers),
  • organizing podcast related events (e.g., festivals, live episodes),
  • and other related work.

Priority will go to students who are strong academically, organized, personable, creative, and have experience and expertise in social media management.
