Schedule Full-time:
This is an 11-month position working August-June; Monday-Friday approximately 10:30am-6:30pm during the school year, with flexible scheduling during summer. Enjoy the month of July off work!
Major Responsibilities 


As the 21C Site Director at Doty Elementary School, you are responsible for overseeing a safe, engaging, and educational environment in collaboration with the school district and staff, the YMCA, and the parents and approximately 100 children served by the 21C after-school program. This is accomplished through building collaborative relationships, meeting 21C grant requirements, delivering creative programming, and leading a staff and volunteers to deliver quality programming.










  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, Y staff and school administrators is essential to the success of this role and the 21C program.
  • Proven behavioral management skills are key, along with the ability to teach these skills to team members.
  • 4-year college degree required, preferably in Education, Child Psychology, Human Development or Elementary Education.
  • Minimum of 6 months working with large groups of school-age children required.
  • Must possess strong organizational, leadership and administrative skills.
  • Experience working with economically disadvantaged children with diverse backgrounds is strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Conversational Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid and AED is required within the first 60 days of hire; training provided. As a safety responder, the ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, move quickly, and/or lift at least 20 pounds will be necessary.
Salary & Benefits $34,000 (11 months) negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include Medical, Dental and Life insurance, PTO and holiday pay, a generous 11% retirement contribution upon eligibility, STD/LTD, free Household membership and program discounts.
