Custodian Lead

The Custodian-Lead position at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts (WCPA) must be able to lead by example. This position works under the general supervision of the Custodial Services Program Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of the WCPA.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory of supplies and initiate supply requests as needed.
  • Monitor the facilities schedule of events to anticipate custodial needs.
  • Schedule student and LTE staff according to the needs of the area.
  • Perform cleaning tasks assigned to custodial staff.
  • Use equipment and cleaning products to maintain the buildings appearance.
  • Perform setup for special events as needed.
  • Train new staff.
  • Delegate work assignments to students and LTE staff as necessary.
  • Perform site inspections of assigned areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff, colleagues, and facility patrons.

Human Resources Assistant (Two Vacancies)

Human Resources Assistant 1:

Under the general direction of the Human Resources Specialist, this position serves as the lead worker for personnel transaction entry. This position coordinates and enters personnel transaction data in the Human Resources System (HRS), processes student employment paperwork and handles various recruitment activities for the divisions of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Information Services, Library and Provost office. Other responsibilities of this position include employee exit processing, fiscal year end monitoring, and assisting with miscellaneous administrative duties.  This position will serve as an HR liaison with internal and external staff, and interact with others to resolve problems and communicate policy and procedure information as needed.

Human Resources Assistant 2:

Under the general direction of the Human Resources Specialist, this position coordinates and enters personnel transaction data in the Human Resources System (HRS), processes student employment paperwork and handles various recruitment activities for the divisions of Professional Studies, Outreach and Adult Access, Enrollment Services and Dean of Students. This position also serves as the campus coordinator for US Citizenship and Immigration Services, coordinates orientation and onboarding for new employees, provides general administrative support, and performs a variety of other Human Resource related activities. This position will serve as an HR liaison with internal and external staff, and interact with others to resolve problems and communicate policy and procedure information as needed.

Grant Writer

Under the direction of the Director of Grants & Research in the Office of Grants & Research, the position of Grant Writer/Development Specialist works with members of the campus community to develop proposals to secure funding from public and private sources.  Additionally, this position works closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to provide information and assist with grant writing activities using an inclusive, customer service-oriented approach to support the work of diverse individuals and groups.

Student Outreach Specialist – Nursing

Under the direction of the Manager of Student Outreach in Nursing, the Student Outreach Specialist is responsible for recruiting, follow-up with, and securing applications from prospective students who are ADN prepared Registered Nurses into the RN to BSN program, BSN prepared nurses into the MSN program, along with complimentary student recruitment activities for the Health Information and Management Program.  The Student Outreach Specialist works closely with the Nursing Programs’ Student Services Specialist, Advisors, Faculty, University student services staff, and outside personnel and institutions.

The Director of Development identifies, qualifies, cultivates, and solicits individuals and organizations for philanthropic support of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB).  The Director of Development builds relationships, solicits and secures gifts and pledges, and provides regular stewardship of donors and their gifts.  The Director of Development raises funds in support of the University and its academic programs, departments, services, special initiatives, facilities, students, faculty, and staff.

Supervising for Success: Effective Management for the UW-Green Bay Workforce

Enrollment Services Front Desk Advisor

The Student Services Specialist works in the Green Bay One Stop Shop (GBOSS) to assist clients (i.e. enrolled and prospective students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public) with routine transactions and inquiries, educate clients about University policies, procedures and resources, advise clients about alternative courses of action, and work collaboratively with other University offices and external agencies on behalf of clients to expedite problem resolution.

Income Continuation Insurance Deferred Enrollment Period Through March 1, 2016

ICI Deferred Enrollment Opportunity

The Income Continuation Insurance (ICI) program is an “income replacement” benefit plan that replaces up to 75% of your gross salary if you are unable to work due to a short or long-term disability.

Standard ICI pays 75% of your salary up to a maximum of $4,000/month (based on a maximum salary of up to $64,000 per year of 2015 Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) earnings). Supplemental ICI pays 75% of your salary up to a maximum of $7,500/month (based on a maximum salary of up to $120,000 per year of 2015 WRS earnings).

If you are not currently enrolled in ICI, you may be able to enroll during the ICI Deferred Enrollment Period through March 1, 2016. Eligible employees were sent an email on January 22.  You must complete an Income Continuation Insurance Application (ET-2307) and return it to the payroll office on or before March 1, 2016 to enroll during the deferred enrollment period. ICI coverage elected through deferred enrollment will be effective April 1, 2016.

Deferred enrollment is offered in the following situations:

  • You are University Staff, and your prior year-end sick leave balance exceeds 520 or 728 hours for the first time.
  • You are University Staff and have accumulated and retained at least 80 hours of sick leave (prorated for part-time employment) for the first time in the prior calendar year.
  • Your prior year-end sick leave balance exceeds 1040 hours.
  • If enrolled in ICI, and your 2015 WRS earnings were at least $64,000, you are eligible to enroll in Supplemental ICI coverage (if not already enrolled).
