Well Wisconsin in 2023

2023 has started and you can now start thinking about earning your $150 gift card through Well Wisconsin. This year the three activities must be completed by October 13, 2023 to earn the $150 Well Wisconsin gift card.

  • Health Assessment: Complete WebMD ONE’s 10-minute questionnaire.
  • Health Check: Complete one of the following health checks
    • Biometric Screening
    • Dental Exam
    • One Coaching Session
  • Well-Being Activity: Complete one of the many activities WebMD has to offer

Download the mobile app, Wellness at Your Side

  1. Visit the Apple App Store of the Google Play Store and search “Wellness at Your Side”
  2. After downloading and opening the app, enter your Connection Code: SOWI.

New in 2023 for your gift cards

Starting in 2023, you will have the option to redeem your $150 Well Wisconsin gift card VIRTUALLY, 2 to 3 business days after your three Well Wisconsin activities are marked complete. You will receive an email with instructions to redeem your gift card. If you prefer a physical gift card is mailed to your home, you can select that option and verify your mailing address. If you do not redeem your gift card within 30 days, it will automatically be sent to the address on file with your employer or ETF.

Winter Break: Faculty/Staff Recreation Offerings

Kress Events Center Access: Over winter break, faculty/staff can access the Kress Events Center for free during all open hours. Please bring your ID. Lockers are available for day use or rental.

Outdoor Equipment Rental: The Shorewood Center offers several equipment rentals, including snow shoes and XC skis, that can be rented at a special Faculty/Staff rate. 1,000 Point Challenge Results

Thirty-five employees completed the 5-week challenge by logging 200 minutes of activity for each week. Employees were able to participate in any type of physical activity to work out for at least 200 minutes each week.

Those that completed the challenge went into a random drawing and the following were selected for a prize of a muscle roller:

1,000 Point Fitness Challenge!

Looking for motivation and accountability to stay active this semester?

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the…October 3rd – November 7th

Participants earn points for doing any type of physical activity.

You can lift weights, take a group fitness class, climb the wall, go for a walk/jog outside, or do any other type of exercise that is preferred.

Participants complete 200 minutes of activity each week for five weeks to achieve 1,000 points. 1 minute = 1 point

RULES 

Record your activity and points throughout the program online or on the UREC app.

You can submit points after each workout or accumulated points at the end of each week.

You must accumulate at least 200 points per week (or 200 minutes per week) during the five-week period.

Note that this is a five-week program and only 200 points per week can be counted toward the 1,000 points.

CAMPUSES

Green Bay, Marinette, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan employees are welcome to participate!

Register for Flu Clinics

The Well Wisconsin Program is offering workplace flu clinics.

Flu vaccinations are free and voluntary for all who are eligible for the Well Wisconsin Program.

  • You will be required to present your medical ID card at the flu clinic.
  • After you register for your appointment online, your Next Step will be to complete the digital consent form.
  • A link to the digital consent form will be available on the appointment confirmation page and in your confirmation email.

Nurses administering the vaccine will wear masks. Participants should follow local guidance regarding masks.

The vaccination will protect against the four most likely causes of flu illness during the upcoming season, including the H1N1- strain of influenza.

The vaccine is preservative-free.

The vaccine is not recommended for the following individuals:

  • Those allergic to eggs or egg products
  • Those who have an active neurological disorder
  • Those with a fever, acute respiratory or other active infection or illness

If you are pregnant, you should receive the vaccine directly from your physician.

Preregistration is required. No cash payments or insurance payments accepted. To register for your flu vaccination appointment, log into the wellness portal at webmdhealth.com/wellwisconsin and click “Register” on the Flu Vaccination card.

Onsite Health Screenings – Green Bay & Sheboygan Campus

Don’t forget to register for your onsite health screening!

A free health screening* event has been scheduled for employees (and spouses) who are enrolled in the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program.

At an onsite screening, you’ll learn your measurements for blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), cholesterol (HDL, LDL and total), triglycerides and glucose, and be in and out in 20 minutes. Register today!

Earn your $150 Well Wisconsin Incentive

Complete three activities by October 14, 2022 to earn the $150 Well Wisconsin incentive.

  1. Get a health screening or complete another health check option (ex. dental exam or coaching session).
  2. Complete the health assessment at webmdhealth.com/wellwisconsin – it takes about 10 minutes and is mobile and tablet friendly!
  3. Complete a well-being activity (ex. complete a challenge, listen to two 30 minute pod casts, etc.).

*The Well Wisconsin incentive program is a voluntary program available to employees, retirees and spouses enrolled in the State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program, excluding Medicare Advantage participants who have incentives available through their health plan. The Well Wisconsin incentive will automatically be issued to eligible participants upon completing the applicable activities. All wellness incentives paid to participants are considered taxable income to the group health plan subscriber and are reported to their employer, who will issue a W2. In some cases, the Wisconsin Retirement System acts as the employer. Retirees, continuants and their spouses will have some taxes withheld from the incentive amount earned.

Well Wisconsin: Daily Habits

Sometimes it just takes a little nudge to get in the habit of doing healthy things!  Sign up for a Daily Habits plan as part of your Well-Being Activity to earn your $150 Wellness Incentive.  You would log in to the wellness portal each day during your chosen activity period, and report on your progress.  Daily Habits uses behavioral science to help you improve your well-being.
