The Student Services Specialists work in the Green Bay One Stop Shop (GBOSS) to assist clients (i.e. enrolled and prospective students, parents, faculty, staff, and the general public) with routine transactions and inquiries, educate clients about University policies, procedures and resources, advise clients about alternative courses of action, and work collaboratively with other University offices and external agencies on behalf of clients to expedite problem resolution.

Technician- Academic Technology Services (Temporary 50%)

Academic Technology Services has a current vacancy for a temporary Technician.  This position will work approximately 20 hours per week, between the hours of 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The technician position will be responsible for the support of campus data network and telecommunications network installations, troubleshooting, and repair. They will also perform general electronic troubleshooting and repair of telephones, electronic instructional equipment, classroom equipment, and audio/video systems.

Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer is responsible for assisting faculty and instructional academic staff with course design and redesign with an emphasis on the use of instructional technology in online classes and online academic program development. This position will provide support for all aspects of course design from analysis of anticipated student learning outcomes and instructor needs to the development of a delivery system to maximize instructional effectiveness. The Instructional Designer works collaboratively with the office of the Provost and Adult Degree Program and is housed in Academic Technology Services.

Archives Assistant (70%) – Open to UW System Employees Only

Under the limited supervision of the University Archivist, this position supports the University Archives and Area Research Center by providing: research assistance and overseeing operations of the Archives reading room; maintenance of the physical and intellectual access to the Archives’ holdings; training, supervision and management of department student employees. In addition, this position will assist the University Archivist in developing departmental procedures as well as providing support for department outreach initiatives.  In the absence of the Archivist, this position will assume responsibility for the welfare and operations of the Archives and Area Research Center. In carrying out these duties the incumbent works with a great deal of independence and must apply archival and research expertise and judgment to a wide range of circumstances and situations.
