About Wise Women Gathering Place   Wise Women Gathering Place (WWGP) is a grassroots organization located in Green Bay. From these humble beginnings has grown a nonprofit organization offering programs including:

  • A transitional living program for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault
  • Youth programs focusing on prevention of teen pregnancy, domestic violence, sexual assault, and other risk behaviors
  • Training, technical assistance, and facilitation using Technology of Participation (ToP) Facilitation Methods to build consensus and shared awareness among groups of people in local, state and national settings
  • Healing from intergenerational trauma through a community-facilitated White Bison: Mending Broken Hearts initiative

WWGP’s mission is to promote peace, respect, and belonging through skill-building, sharing of resources and caring support for our community. The organization has maintained 501(c)3 status since 1998, and is funded primarily through federal and some local grants. University Personnel System (UPS) Overview Forum

UPS

What is the University Personnel System (UPS)?
• The structure used to recruit, appoint, pay, provide benefits to, and manage personnel matters for all UW employees.
What is prompting this change?
• Governor Walker signed executive order 36.115 authorizing and directing development of personnel systems separate from the current structure under the Office of State Employment Relations (OSER) in 2011. The initial order was to be implemented July 1, 2013, but in June 2013 a motion was passed to postpone implementation until July 1, 2015.
Have further questions? Need to be “brought up to speed”? Are you interested in getting involved? Now is the time!
The Office of Human Resources in collaboration with the Academic Staff and University Staff committees will be hosting an informational “catch up” session for UPS. Please click on the attached meeting request to add this forum to your calendar.

When: Thursday, March 5, 2015; 3 – 4 p.m.
Where: Christie Theatre, University Union
