Welcome Carly Kibbe!

On January 6, 2017, Carly Kibbe was welcomed as a new Assistant Professor of Human Biology-Endocrinology in the Human Biology Department.

Carly is from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, and was most recently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicine at UW-Madison, studying the genetic contributions to the regulation of pancreatic beta-cell mass in obesity and diabetes, work that she will continue at UW-Green Bay. Carly’s research experience also includes pre-graduate and graduate work on pancreatic beta-cell physiology, as it related to the development and prevention of diabetes. She gained teaching experience during the Postdoctoral years, serving as a TA for Biochemistry and Cell Biology, as well as taking several courses in teaching and learning through the Delta and CIRTL Programs at UW-Madison.

Carly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from UW-LaCrosse and her Ph.D. in Endocrinology & Reproductive Physiology from UW-Madison.

Welcome Jason Mathwig!

Continuing Education and Community Engagement welcomed Jason Mathwig as the Director of Camps and Conferences on February 6, 2017.

Jason previously worked at UW-Eau Claire, where he also received his Bachelor’s Degree in 2008. He recently obtained his Master’s Degree from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Jason is from Fall Creek, Wisconsin.

Welcome Nelson Pouliot!

Athletics recently welcomed Nelson Pouliot as the Director of the Phoenix Fund on February 13, 2017.

Nelson previously worked at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Olivet Nazarene University and his graduate degree at Oakland University.

When not working, Nelson enjoys basketball, baseball, fishing, golfing, soccer, and tennis. He also loves music and traveling.

Nelson is originally from Caro, Michigan, and has a sister named AnnaLisa.

Dean Assistant

This position reports to the Dean of the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business (AECSB) and is primarily responsible for all matters related to budget and financial management, which includes functioning as the division’s liaison for payroll, purchasing, controller/accounting functions, and invoices. This position will also be the primary point of contact and support for the Dean, providing administrative support, scheduling, and other office management functions. In addition, this position will assist with planning various events hosted by the college.

Welcome Myunghee Jun!

Myunghee Jun was welcomed as a new Assistant Professor of Nursing on January 17, 2017.

Prior to coming to UW-Green Bay, Myunghee was a visiting scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for 5 years. She has a Ph.D. in Nursing Science from Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea.

Myunghee volunteers at the House of Peace and Korean Community in Milwaukee. She enjoys going to concerts with family, biking, and reading. She is married and has one son. Myunghee’s hometown is Seoul, South Korea.

Form I-9: Troubleshooting Access on Certain Browsers

When accessing the I-9 form from http://www.uwgb.edu/hr/forms/ or directly from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at https://www.uscis.gov/i-9, you may experience issues with the form opening properly. Below are suggested troubleshooting steps to open a fillable I-9 form.

The fillable I-9 form runs on the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please be sure you have the most current version of installed on your PC and that you are using Internet Explorer. If you are unable or prefer using a different Internet browser, you will need to follow the steps below to access the I-9 form.

Chrome

Go to https://www.uscis.gov/i-9. After clicking on the I-9 link to open the form, there should be a dialogue box in the lower, left-hand corner of the screen that says “I-9.pdf open with ^.” Click on the arrow and select “Always open with system viewer.”

This should fix the issue for any future attempts to open the form.

Firefox

From either one of the websites noted above, after clicking on the I-9 link to open the form, there should be a dialogue box that says “You have chosen to open.” Select the option “Open with Adobe Acrobat DC.”

As of now, it appears that the form will open by making this selection but will require you to follow the same steps for future attempts to open the form.

I-9 Form Compliance Training

Human Resources recently held three training sessions related to the updated I-9 form. There have been several changes, including new requirements on how to complete various parts of the form. In order to remain in compliance with USCIS guidelines, most incorrect/incomplete I-9s must be returned to the department for editing and then returned to Human Resources before a new hire can be processed.

Welcome Aimee Sisson!

Aimee Sisson was welcomed as the new women’s Assistant Softball Coach by Athletics on October 10, 2016.

Aimee was a Graduate Assistant Softball Coach at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Applied Media Arts – Photography and a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies.

Aimee is from Bolivar, New York.

Welcome Kerry Winkler!

Kerry Winkler was welcomed by Outreach and Extension on September 19, 2016, as a Continuing Professional Education and State Registry Project Specialist.

Kerry worked at Bellin Health for five years prior to starting at UWGB. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from UWGB and is from Green Bay.

Kerry is married and has two daughters, age 2 and 8. She enjoys being active, hiking, camping with family, and cheering on the Packers.

Welcome Tessa Pellmann!

The University Union welcomed Tessa Pellmann as the new Internal Support Manager on October 10, 2016.

Tessa worked as a temporary Marketing Editor in the Union for 2 years before being hired in October. She is currently interning with the Literacy Center in Green Bay by volunteering to read to middle schoolers.

Tessa has a Bachelor’s Degree in English from UW-Green Bay, along with a minor in Linguistics. She is from Lodi, Wisconsin, and has a brother (Jacob) who graduated from UW-Madison.
